Stockings Are Hung
The fireplace glows with a gentle flame, garland draped in evergreen and red berries, stockings awaiting the joy of Christmas morning. It is a picture of hope and anticipation, of traditions carried through generations. Just as the stockings hang in quiet readiness, so our hearts are called to wait with expectation for the greatest gift—the presence of Christ among us. In the warmth of the hearth, we are reminded that God’s promises never fail, and His love fills even the simplest of places.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” — Isaiah 9:6
"The truest gifts of Christmas are not found in the stockings but in the Savior who fills our hearts with peace and joy."
