Gifts Of Comfort - Trust In The Unseen Wind

There are seasons when life changes before we have had time to understand what is happening.
Suddenly, the future feels uncertain. Plans shift. Answers are few. And we find ourselves wondering what comes next.
In those moments, trust can feel like such a difficult word.
Perhaps because we think trust means being unafraid or certain of where all of this is going.
But maybe trust can be much quieter than that.
Like a child holding the string of a kite, we cannot see the wind. We cannot control where it blows or how suddenly it may change direction.
Sometimes faith is simply holding the string.
Not understanding.
Not having all the answers.
Not pretending we aren't afraid.
Just remaining connected to the One who sees what we cannot.
And perhaps the deepest comfort is not found in how tightly we are able to hold onto God, but in remembering that He is holding onto us.
So when the way ahead feels uncertain, may you remember:
You do not have to understand the wind.
You do not have to see the whole way ahead.
The One who goes before you
has never lost sight of you.
