Red Dinghy
Weathered by time and tides, the red dinghy rests quietly on the shore—its hull worn, its paint chipped, yet still standing as a steadfast witness to many journeys past. Once carried by the strength of the sea, it now finds peace in stillness, nestled in the sand as the waves lap gently beyond.
This scene speaks of resilience, of a vessel that has known both storms and calm waters. Though retired from its labors, it carries the quiet dignity of purpose fulfilled. It reminds us that even in seasons of rest, there is beauty in what remains, and meaning in what has already been carried out.
So too are we reminded of the promise: “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28). The red dinghy is no longer striving against the waves, but resting in peace—just as our souls find their true rest when anchored in Christ.
