And So He Soars
Above the storm-swept skies, an eagle stretches his wings and soars; not away from the storm, but above it. In this painting, he rises with grace and strength, escaping the chaos that churns beneath him. The dark clouds, symbolic of trial and adversity, no longer hold power over him. What was once a threat becomes the very wind that lifts him higher.
He has felt the pull of the earth—the weight of pain, fear, and struggle. But something deep within calls him to rise. He knows he cannot stay grounded in what was. He was made for more: for freedom, for perspective, for peace. So he does the only thing he can do: he soars.
"And So He Soars" is a visual metaphor for the human spirit in the face of life’s fiercest storms. It speaks to anyone who has known sorrow, loss, or hardship and yet chooses to rise. It’s a reminder that we are not bound by what we go through, but called to lift above it. There is power in surrender, beauty in flight, and healing in rising.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
