This book was born from my own journey through loss and the deep longing to make sense of grief through faith.

After losing my beloved husband, Jeff, I began noticing what I came to call “God whispers” — small moments that felt like gentle reminders of Heaven’s nearness. A red bird appearing at just the right time. A feather resting along my path. A quiet sense of peace when my heart needed it most.

These moments did not erase grief, but they helped me understand that love does not end when someone goes to Heaven. Instead, it changes form, becoming something we carry forward with us.

I wrote Whispers From Heaven to help children — and the adults who walk beside them — find language for loss that is filled with hope, rooted in Christ, and grounded in the truth that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

My prayer is that this story becomes a gentle place of comfort, a reminder that God’s presence is real, and that love continues to whisper long after goodbye.
