Confined Yet Free
A silver-haired woman lifts her hands high from the seat of her wheelchair, her spirit soaring beyond the body that binds her. Before her stretches the beauty of God’s creation—a river reflecting the heavens, trees swaying in worship, and the promise of freedom that no earthly confinement can take away. Though her body may feel limited, her soul knows no such chains. She lives the truth that joy is not hindered by circumstance, and worship cannot be confined by walls or wheels. This moment captures the paradox of faith: though outwardly restricted, she is inwardly free, carried always by the Spirit of the Lord.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17
“Freedom is not the absence of limits, but the presence of God’s Spirit within.”
