Little Hearts Break Too
In the quiet glow of fading light, a little girl stands barefoot at the water’s edge, her head bowed as if the weight of sorrow is too great for her small frame. At her side, a faithful dog leans close, steady in his silent comfort. Though her heart is young, grief has found its way there, reminding us that sorrow does not spare even the smallest souls.
Children, too, feel the sting of absence and the ache of loss, often holding it in ways words cannot reach. Yet even here, in the hush of heartbreak, there is a presence that does not leave. The faithful companionship of a loyal friend mirrors the promise of the One who says, Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
The soft light breaking through the mist whispers of hope—that even in the most fragile hearts, God plants His healing presence. Her sorrow is not unseen, her tears are not forgotten, and her little heart, though broken, is held gently in the hands of the One who mends all things.
